The Village Experience
The Village Experience is a socially pro-active business dedicated to uplifting impoverished communities in the developing world through efforts in international trade and tourism. They needed some help bringing their website to life. A designer had already put together the graphics into flash and they just needed me to make the site work. I took the site from this un-functional state to a fully functioning flash website running off a dynamic database. The website shows a map of the world and allows users to click on the location they want to visit to view the available trips. The organization staff has a custom administration site to add, change and remove the trips. Other CMS functions were built into the site including a photo gallery and simple store item listings. Users also have the ability to sign up for a trip or request information about a product right from the flash website.
